Gert's Mag 7 Complete

  • Earthworm Castings: Often called "black gold," these provide highly available nutrients and are packed with beneficial microbes and humic acid, which helps plants take up nutrients more efficiently.
  • Bat Guano: A potent source of nitrogen and phosphorus that also introduces unique fungal and bacterial flora to the soil, boosting plant immunity.
  • Crab Meal: High in nitrogen and calcium, but its "secret weapon" is chitin. This encourages the growth of chitin-eating bacteria that help kill off harmful soil-borne nematodes.
  • Kelp Meal: Contains over 60 trace minerals and, more importantly, natural growth hormones (auxins, cytokinins, and gibberellins) that help plants handle stress like drought or cold.
  • Azomite: A specialized rock dust that provides a massive spectrum of 70+ trace minerals, "remineralizing" soil that has been depleted over years of gardening.
  • Biochar: Think of this as a "microbial hotel." It is highly porous, providing a permanent home for beneficial bacteria and holding onto water and nutrients so they don't leach away.
  • Neem Seed Meal: Provides a slow-release nitrogen boost while acting as a natural systemic deterrent for soil-dwelling pests and fungi.
Feature Gert’s Mag 7 Blood & Bone Meal (Industrial Organics) Synthetic Chemicals (N-P-K Salts)
Nutrient Spectrum Full Spectrum: N-P-K plus 70+ trace minerals and growth hormones. Narrow: Almost exclusively Nitrogen (Blood) or Phosphorus/Calcium (Bone). Limited: Generally only N-P-K; lacks micronutrients.
Soil Microbiome Probiotic: Actively introduces and houses microbes (via Biochar/Castings). Neutral: Provides food for microbes but doesn't house or diversify them. Sterilizing: High salt content can dehydrate and kill soil life.
Pest Interaction Deterrent: Neem and Crab meal naturally discourage soil pests. Attractant: Can attract scavengers (dogs, raccoons) due to the scent of dried blood. Attractant: Rapid "soft" growth attracts sap-sucking insects like aphids.
Sourcing Ethics Utilizes sustainable marine and volcanic inputs. Often a byproduct of intensive, industrial factory farming. Petroleum based, often heavy metals included.
Release Mechanism Biological: Nutrients released via microbial breakdown for long-term feeding. Slow-to-Medium: Depends on soil temperature and moisture to break down. Instant: Dissolves in water for immediate (but fleeting) uptake.

BEWARE THE POLLUTED PURVEYOR!

Do not be deceived by a mere label! There are those who would gather the Sullied Sewage of the City and the Putrid Offal of the Swine-Pen, drying these "Urban Infections" and offering them to the unsuspecting public as a wholesome draught for the garden. To use such "Muck-Manufactures" is to invite the very stench of the slum and the diseases of the gutter into your Roses and Cabbages!

A PROCLAMATION OF PURITY:
We implore you, for the sake of your family’s health and the sanctity of your estate: Scrutinize the List of Constituents with a Cold and Piercing Eye! If the merchant cannot account for the origin of his "Organic Nitrogen," or if he hides behind vague terms and murky descriptions, you are likely holding a bag of "Civic Slop."

WHY GERT’S FERT REMAINS UNTARNISHED:

  • Gert’s Fert contains NO human dross, NO swinish waste, and NO "Night-Soil" from the city’s drains.
  • Our ingredients are sourced from the Pure Majesty of Nature: the Sea-Kelp, the Volcanic Dust, and the industrious Earthworm.
  • We provide a Clean, Fragrant, and Scientific Vitality that may be handled by the most delicate of hands without fear of "Taint or Contagion."

DO NOT BE FOOLED! The health of your garden is a reflection of your own discernment. Cast aside the "Waste-Merchant’s Dram" and demand the Solid, Pure Virtue that only the House of Gert can provide.

BEWARE THE LIQUID CHARLATAN!

Even among the "Natural" brethren, there are those who would sell you a weak tea and call it a feast. They filter and dilute the noble Earthworm, Fish, and the Kelp until only a pale ghost remains. Gert’s Fert refuses the filter! We deliver the Whole Virtue of the Kelp, Crab, Neem Seed, Bat, Earthworm, Carbon and the Volcanic Minerals. Our blend is a "Concentrated Providence", packed with the grit and fiber that soil craves. Why settle for a "Scent of the Sea" when you may possess the Bountiful Harvest of the Deep in every handful?

Most fertilizers are just a "caffeine hit" for your garden—a quick green-up followed by a total crash. Gert' Mag 7 is different. We don’t just dump Nitrogen into your dirt; we provide a complete biological toolkit designed to build a thriving, self-sustaining ecosystem.

By combining the microbial power of Earthworm Castings and Bat Guano with the "microbial hotel" of Biochar, we ensure your soil stays alive and hungry. While industrial blood and bone meal are simple byproducts of the meat industry, our blend is a curated mineral buffet of Azomite and Kelp, giving your plants the trace elements they need for deeper flavors, bigger blooms, and unmatched resilience.

The result? Plants that don't just grow—they thrive.

Gertrude always believed in sustainability. Gert's Mag 7 is packaged in a reusable sealed metal container with a snap latch lid.

A NOTICE TO THE CULTIVATOR

I. THE PREPARATION OF THE TILTH
Before one grain of Gert’s Fert is committed to the earth, the soil must be cleared of weeds and debris. Work the ground to a fine crumb, for the Biochar and Earthworm Castings perform their best work when they are intimately acquainted with the roots of your specimens.

II. THE TOP-DRESSING OF THE BEDS
For established roses, shrubs, and perennials, scatter one generous handful of Gert’s Fert around the base of each plant. This "Blanket of Vitality" should be gently scratched into the surface with a hand-fork. Do not fear the "Burn" of the chemist; our Neem and Kelp are as gentle as a summer breeze, yet as nourishing as a Sunday roast.

III. THE POTTING OF NEW SPECIMENS
When introducing a young plant to a new vessel, mix one part Gert’s Fert to twenty parts of your finest potting earth. This ensures the seedling finds a "Microbial Hotel" ready and waiting for its arrival, with the Azomite providing the mineral strength required for a sturdy constitution.

IV. THE BREWING OF THE "BOTANICAL TONIC"
Should a plant appear listless or "shaken" by the heat, one may create a liquid draught of incomparable power. Place two cups of Gert’s Fert into a burlap sack and steep it in a five-gallon crock of rainwater for the duration of one full moon cycle (or, if pressed for time, forty-eight hours). Water your plants with this "Dark Elixir" to deliver the immediate essence of Bat Guano and Sea-Kelp directly to the thirsty roots.

V. THE REPLENISHMENT OF THE HEARTH
Apply Gert’s Fert twice yearly—once at the first awakening of the spring buds, and once as the summer begins to wane. Because our Biochar remains as a permanent resident in your soil, each application builds upon the last, creating a "Compounded Interest" of fertility that will serve your estate for a lifetime.
